5-9-10 Music for Marlee Benefit - Had a good set.  There was a guy that drove 400 miles to hear December 2003.  I wish I could have done a better version, but its the thought that counts.  Hope our efforts help our young friend Marlee.  Everyone was real nice.  Thanks Lisa for a great job doing sound.

In closing, it was a great week!  A lot of Those Guys music.  Music with my brother Ed.  Recorded in the studio.  Had dinner with friends.  Doesn't get much better than this!!!!

In closing, it was a great week.  I talked to a guy who is starting to play music and wanted my opinion.  I didn't have one at the time, but now that I think about it:  1) You have to love what you're doing.  2) Try to support the people you're playing with to the best of your ability.  3) Be a nice person (this works in any business).  Have people come see you because you love what you're doing and you're a decent person.  Don't have people just tolerate you because they want to hear the music.  4) It's a great life if'in you don't weakin.

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1/22-23/10 A1A Ale Works - We had a good weekend!  Made some new friends!  Dave Johnson and Angelo stopped by.  It's always good to see our playing in other bands buddies.

1-25-10 Hurricane Patty's - A Hackers gig.  Kurt was late getting back from New York so he couldn't make the gig.  As usual, everyone stepped up to the plate and went to work.  It was a great night!  We smoked 'em!  Looking forward to next month.  Thanks to Wayne Johnston, you were a big part of a great night.  Also, would like to thank Barry and Rob Peck for stopping by.

A band is a weird animal.  It sounds best when you stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about making the music sound better.  When that happens, there's not a better feeling in the world.  Some problems are simple to fix, that's why it's so hard to figure them out.

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1-12-10 Hurricane Patty's - It was good to get back to work again.  We played well.  It was a fun night!

1-13-10 Jekyll Island - Just got together with my brother Ed.  We threw around some new tunes.  One of 'em stuck  "Lets Go Fishin"!  Had a great dinner and a few brews.  A great night.  Thanks Kristen and Leigh Ann for the dinner and a place to stay.  And thanks for listening to some new original music!!!

1-14-10 Oasis - It was good to be back at The World Famous Oasis.  We had a great crowd.  Had a lot of fun.  Looking forward to tomorrow night!

1-15-10 Oasis - Another great night!  The place was packed.  A lot of our regulars are saying we are sounding better than ever.  What ever has happened, it's a good thing.  Lets keep it going.

I just attended a double funeral for Ann and Vickie Caudill.  I have been friends with them for over 40 years.  I lived in their house in my younger days.  They were mother and daughter and passed 5 days apart.  My heart goes out to the family (Tommy, Mike, Chuck, Don, Joey and Brad).  It was a beautiful service.

We're not on this earth for to long.  Think about the impact you are having on the people around you.  Ann and Vickie had nothing but love for everyone and they proved it by the way they lived.  God Bless them, I know he did.

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1-7-10  Eclipse Recording Co. - I was in the studio laying down a new song  "Poor-dum".  And then went by Barry's after the studio and listened to a new song Barry's writing about his road trip with his Dad to Mississippi.  I left Barry with another new idea that he's going to collaborate on.  It was a productive day.

1-8-10 The Cove Cafe - The trio (Walt, Barry and Dave) had a good night.  This weather is something, isn't it? Still a pretty decent crowd.  Thanks!

1-9-10 Private Party - 32° and we are set up next to a pool outside.  Sounds like a disaster, but with a couple heaters and a good attitude we had a great time!  Thanks for having us Linda.  You're the best!  Thanks Jim for sitting in!

1-11-10 NSAI Songwriters meeting (Fernandina Beach) - I had a good session with some new writers I met.  I will be joining them next month with a rewrite on my new song (Living In My Head) and see if I learned anything.

Man, sometimes I miss my home in Virginia, but when it's cold like this I remember why I just go back for gigs and visits.  I can't wait to get back to Florida weather.

see you down the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12-23-09 Stone Mountain - Barry, Lydia, Theresa and myself met up in Stone Mountain Georgia .  We had a great time!  Saw a little of Barry's old stomp in' grounds.  Stopped by and saw my Dad and Margie in South Carolina on the way back and picked up Will (my brother) and brought him back to St. Augustine. It sounds like both Frankie and Walt had a good Christmas also.  We are all glad that Walt's Dad is okay and Frankie is feeling better.

1-2-10 Cove Cafe - Great night!  Great friends!  See you guys this Friday!  Gregg Chirico (The Hackers, Mr. Natural, Natural Madness) stopped by and sang a song with us.  You were great man!  After our gig, Walt, myself, Chuck and others from the Cove Cafe went to see Gregg perform.  The band sounded great (Natural Madness).  I didn't get a chance to stay long.  Wish I could have hung longer.  Thanks for the music!

1-4-10 Eclipse Recording Studio - What a trip!  I did one of my new song's "Love".  I had Spanky and Karen from Spanky and Our Gang singing with me.  I was sick as a dog, but what a great time I had.  Barry and Lydia had us over for a wonderful dinner.  Thanks everyone for making this a great day!

Hope everybody had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

In these lean times we should stick together and help each other.  You find out who your true friends are when times get the toughest.
